The Waverley Arms

Very much like this Nunhead gastropub which reopened in Summer 2014 after an extensive refurbishment. Too many local pubs are closing because they are less pleasant and more expensive than a trip to the supermarket, so it is brilliant to have such an ambitious new bar and kitchen opening nearby. The fact that it is at a convenient midpoint on a decent walk with the dog is an added bonus (OK I am lazy with the dog - it is only around 15 minutes on foot). Local craft beers, exhibiting space for local artists, and great burgers. Brilliant.
