About

We would love to welcome you to stay at our family home in Nunhead in South East London. This page lists a few of the reasons why we love this area. For more details, please visit the blog which covers local interest, eating out, where we source our food and how we run the business.

A fabulous location
25 minutes from the Tate Modern
Nunhead station is five minutes walk from the house. From there it is only a seventeen minute ride to central London stations, including Blackfriars and Victoria. There are maps at the bottom of this page and further information on our Contact page. Alternatively, please click here to link to London's public transport journey planner.

London's lungs
Surrounded by green spaces
Nunhead is in the middle of a green chain of walks through parks and woodland. Telegraph Hill Park is two houses away and Nunhead cemetery is a few hundred metres further, with its amazing protected view of St Paul's Cathedral. Dulwich and Greenwich parks are slightly further afield. When exploring the area on foot expect to be in green spaces around half the time, spending the rest on quiet residential streets.

Eclectic drinking and dining
International and local
Good local eateries include the Hill Station Community Café, Chai's Garden Thai Restaurant, The Telegraph at the Earl of Derby and the Waverley Arms, which serves the delicious ales from the BBC (that's Brockley Brewery Company in these parts). A short hop to New Cross or Peckham is worth it for the vibe. Try Ganapati or the London Particular.
